Sonic Stories is the 13 year long collaboration between Rune Mandelid and Kari Nergaard Bleivik. Their music has been described as lyrical and soulful, and when performing as a duo, it has been a mix of acoustic and electro-acoustic composition, loops and real-time sampling

 Sonic Stories has enjoyed great success at festivals such as Nattjazz and Vossa Jazz as a duo, and has also appeared at LIMA Festival 2008 and Vossa Jazz Festival in Norway 2009 to much appreciation from critics and audiences.
